A Hawaiian Victorian Island Princess
Bed and Breakfast

where Lace meets Lauhala in the Land of Lava,  Hilo, Hawaii

Tom is an architect, contractor and builder, licensed in both Hawaii and California. He loves to cook and frequently does our breakfasts. His hobbies include gardening and he has recently started some coffee plants. He goes sailing and fishing with his buddies when time allows.
Dianne, an accountant and writer, is the happy recipient of the results of Tom's fishing and cooking. Her longtime avocations are sewing and music, having been an organist-pianist since grade school. Genealogy and computers are newer pastimes.

This is our second time living in Hawaii. We moved from California in 1991 to Kauai, just in time for Hurricane Iniki 1992. By 1994, we went back to California. Always wishing to return, we moved to the islands in 2002. This time we chose Big Island. We love the weather and the flora and fauna. Big Island does everything BIG. When it rains -- it's big rain; when it's sunny -- it's big sun; but, the temperature has little fluctuation, and it's mild.

We are breeders of American Eskimos in Hawaii. "We may be 'out of children' cause they've grown, but we do have kids, we have American Eskimos."

As you can see, we're pet friendly. If you're coming to Hilo Dog Shows -- stay with us.

The animals do not stay in guest rooms. However, if you have allergies you need to know that they are sometimes in the common rooms.

"Thank you for considering spending your valuable vacation with us
We look forward to making your experience memorable."
